The 41-year-old suffered from depression, and a police spokeswoman confirmed at a news conference that all signs pointed to suicide. Famous friends of the actor, who most notably played Richard “Boner” Stabone on the ’80s sitcom “Growing Pains,” responded to the tragic news online.
